The priorities of «Architecton» are as follows:
- to publish papers prepared by would-be professionals in architecture (undergraduate and postgraduate students) on issues in architecture and design from across the country;
- to publish research papers, critique and monographs of professional architects and teaching staff of architecture and civil engineering schools;
- to present news from architecture and design schools;
- to publish the proceedings of student conferences, workshops and symposia;
- to present the results of student and professional competitions.
Being online is due to the following reasons:
- Online version is less expensive.

Papers are published on the magazine’s web-site as html files for free access. The published materials are kept in accordance with the Federal Law «On Mandatory Copy of Documents» dated 29.12.1994 No.77-ФЗ and are regularly sent to the Informregister Centre and the database of the Russian universal electronic library www.elibrary.ru.

- Fine and applied art and architecture – 17.00.04 We accept for publications articles, reviews, brief reports, discussion materials, manuals. lecture courses, reports and multi-part papers, and also, where needed, individual extended preprints of work and dissertations with the publication of their summaries.
