THE SYSTEMS APPROACH TO DESIGNING OPEN PUBLIC SPACES IN THE CITY


The paradigm of the postindustrial society requires developing new approaches to urban landscaping practice, which should be considered as a dynamically developing system supporting the capability to function through interactions between its parts. The study is based on identification of relations between the processes in open public spaces and choice of landscape design and improvement techniques.
