The article describes the history of one of the buildings in the city of Ekaterinburg constructed in the late 19th century. The mansion is interesting for its almost 150-years history during which it went through a lot of trial. Thanks to the structural engineering and aesthetic solutions implemented by the architect in its design, the building is a constitute part of the street’s image even today. The mansion, which was a communal apartment house in the 20th century, today houses a restaurant and catches the eyes of the passers-by with its practically original appearance.
