A GENERAL THEORY OF MAXIMUM COMPACT FILLING OF THREE-DIMENSIONAL SPACE WITH EQUAL POLYHEDRA


The article expounds some topical aspects of a new theory of plastic organization of forms of modern shells with crystalline structure and shows main promising areas for their development. Some new types of crystalline shells created by the author in the class of polyhedral systems are shown and some methods of their creation are described. The compositional perspectives for the new theory and crystalline shells are outlined in different spheres of fundamental science, architecture, and design.
