TRANSFORMATION OF CITY SPACE BY MEANS OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES WITH REFERENCE TO VIDEO MAPPING


The article deals with the issue of urban environment individualization using a new technology, i.e. video mapping. The author reviews international experiences in the application of art to modify environments and summarizes that video mapping has become one of the newest trends in digital art. The potentialities of 3D projections onto different surfaces in indoor and outdoor architectural spaces are demonstrated. This technology provides conditions for transforming existing historic environments into new emotionally colored spaces.
