THE ZONING OF THE CENTRAL PART OF THE URAL REGION BY MAGNITUDE OF SEISMIC IMPACT ESTIMATE


Based on available geological data, we performed seismic zoning of the central part of the Ural region. The results of this zoning were used for detailed zoning of seismic impact magnitude estimates within the framework of detailing of maps «A» , «B» , «C» OSR-97. According to results of this zoning, the seismic situation in the central part of the Urals is good and non-dangerous for most of the engineering facilities. Antiseismic engineering actions are needed only for the designs of more critical and unique buildings. In the Urals, earthquakes are rare and not strong. At the same time, there are geodynamic phenomena in the top stratum of the earth’s crust in the central part of the Urals which present an adverse factor for engineering facilities. They need to be studied and taken into account in designing and building engineered facilities.
